In college, I signed up to take a volleyball class for credit because so many social events centered on playing volleyball, and I was really terrible. It was a short-lived improvement, as my husband can attest!Aiming4Simplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11109113147823332056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747990468719074509.post-51834950747828505082010-09-17T01:12:50.105-04:002010-09-17T01:12:50.105-04:00I used to play tennis in high school. We did it some on vacation about two years ago, and it was just pitiful.Angie @ Many Little Blessingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13846708503551936348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747990468719074509.post-26238868571319535562010-09-16T18:17:27.028-04:002010-09-16T18:17:27.028-04:00Oh, it's so nice to know I'm not the only ...Oh, it's so nice to know I'm not the only one! I've had many balls to the head, and the face, and the stomach. Most of those happened in elementary school. Now I've learned to just cover my head and scream in terror if I think one is coming near me. It helps the other team laugh, and my own team to hate the sight of me.

Unfortunately, my husband is as bad, if not worse, than me when it comes to sports. Our poor children.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747990468719074509.post-27428507833471139702010-09-16T17:05:00.582-04:002010-09-16T17:05:00.582-04:00How fun? =p I used to play tennis all the time, bu...How fun? =p I used to play tennis all the time, but haven't in the longest time. I like volleyball and used to not be too terrible at it. But I was at a birthday party at the park this spring and some people were playing volleyball nearby (not from our party)--their ball landed by my feet and I tried to "serve" it back to them and it kind of tumbled off my arm in a lovely flop. Embarassing! We all had a good laugh at my ineptitude.

Great job trying tennis. It can be fun if you manage to keep the ball going back and forth, which I haven't been able to do in years! ;-)Eos Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01461158689274826458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747990468719074509.post-62049817183999723452010-09-16T10:49:19.109-04:002010-09-16T10:49:19.109-04:00Jon and I did a sports date once. I'm 4'10" so I'm not going to even pretend to be athletically coordinated. When you are this much of a munchkin, my goal is to not get mistaken for a child while at the park. ;)Ammie @ domesticallyobsessed.comhttp://domesticallyobsessed.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747990468719074509.post-1150668626671865562010-09-16T10:24:18.248-04:002010-09-16T10:24:18.248-04:00Oh yeah, I KNOW where you're coming from with ...Oh yeah, I KNOW where you're coming from with the "hit in the head" thing. I've been hit in the head with enough stuff that ANYthing thrown in my direction sends my arms up like a shield. I can play volleyball (ha!)... but it takes me a while to get to where I'll run after the ball instead of run away from it. Yay for you for trying tennis! I think tennis looks like fun, but I've never tried it. Ping-pong is more my speed :) At least those balls won't hurt if they hit me!Miriamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03171889409871334109noreply@blogger.com
