Well, it royally flopped. I got so behind on picture editing last year (especially after I started shooting in RAW format), and I eventually gave up.
This year I'm trying a simpler route by doing the #photoaday challenge on Instagram. Fat Mum Slim has been creating a photo challenge each month with daily prompts, and I decided to get in on the fun.
The challenge is perfect for me because: 1) I don't have to spend a lot of time editing, 2) I can automatically send my pictures to Flickr via Instagram, and 3) there are others doing it along with me!
I did miss some days in January, primarily because my husband takes his iTouch to work and then I'm Instagram-less (tragic, I know). But here are some of the snippets of life I captured last month:
The February challenge is pictured below. Want to join in?

I'm having fun with this!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! I am very tempted to at least do it even though I don't have/do instagram. I already have an idea for today's prompt!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, you could totally do it without instagram, Miriam! Go for it!
DeleteThis is a great idea, I just started with the February challenge. Does Flicker put the photos into collage format?
ReplyDeleteNo, Flickr just makes it easy for me to download the photos onto my computer.
DeleteI used Picasa to make the collages!
Oh! I want to do this! :) It sounds like so much fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThat close up shot is so precious!!! I love all of your photos :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for linking up to our party and sharing your January with us! Have a wonderful weekend!
Sounds fun!!
ReplyDeleteFun photos! So glad to have found your blog via The House of Smiths.
ReplyDeleteAmazing pics! I love the simplicity of them. I'm so glad I found your blog (I found it while searching for a crock pot yogurt recipe).
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm totally addicted to my instagram!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I love the idea of prompts for pictures because I often can't think of anything to take a picture of, especially because I don't have kids, and each workday is pretty much the same routine.
ReplyDeleteI love that teapot! So pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteoh wow! were you trying to do 365 with raw photos? i would be totally behind as well. i am so not cut out for all that editing. LOL.
ReplyDeletethat's why i love IG so much! it's so cool & so user friendly. all your photos are so fun to look through.
