The Tupelo Room, Coombs House Inn, Apalachicola, Florida
My husband and I love to get away for little weekend trips. And it's a special treat if we get to stay at a cozy bed and breakfast.
When is the last time you got away for a little bit of R&R? Time with your sweetie? A retreat from the constant demands of work/cleaning/cooking?
Where would you go?
The folks over at I Love Inns are partnering with me to give away 5 copies of their book "Bed and Breakfasts and Country Inns" which features 1,100 lovely descriptions of bed and breakfasts and inns all over the United States. The part you'll find most exciting about this book is the gift certificate you'll find on the inside cover...One free night at a B&B or Country Inn (when you buy the first night at the regular rate you get the second night FREE)!!! That would make for a very affordable 2 night getaway with some wonderful memories.
I have personally stayed in two of the B&Bs featured on I Love Inn's website--The Coombs House Inn in Apalachicola, Florida (for our 2nd anniversary) and 44 Spanish Street Inn in St. Augustine, Florida (when my husband returned from his deployment). We had such lovely stays...the locations were perfect and the breakfasts were phenomenal. Not to mention the time together. :)
There are SIX ways that you can enter to win one of the guidebooks with the free night certificate (each counts as a separate entry):
1) REQUIRED entry: Visit I Love Inns and drool over their incredible list of Bed and Breakfasts. Then come back here and leave a comment telling me where you would like to spend a long weekend.
2) Subscribe to Alicia's Homemaking via RSS or email (or both!) and leave me a comment telling me you've done so (if you already subscribe that counts).
3) Follow me on twitter (leave a comment with your username)!
4) Grab my button and put it on your blog (leave a comment with your link).
5) Tweet or blog about this giveaway and leave a comment telling me you've done so (with your username or link).
6) Write a review at I Love Inns for one of the places you've already stayed and then come back here and tell me about it (leave the name of the inn so I can check it out!).
This giveaway will end on Wednesday, April 28th. The 5 winners will be chosen using Random.org and announced on this site. Please make sure your email is available (either on your profile or in your comment) so that I can get in touch with you if you are a lucky winner!

Hey Alicia! I posted a comment on "I Love Inns" for the Beach Drive Inn in St. Petersburg. It's great. May I also suggest the quaint "Audet Family Home" in Sarasota??? I think you'll find the company especially fun and entertaining. :) Love you! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the new layout! So I cannot resist this entry. I would spend a weekend either in Coombs House Inn in the Room you have a picture of #5 Tupelo!! That room is my favorite. Another choice would be to stay in Applegate Inn in Lenox, MA. Absolutely gorgeous there!

ReplyDeleteI think we need to stay at either the DC Guesthouse or the Intown Uptown Inn, both in Washington, DC. My husband and I would LOVE to take a trip up there and see the sights! I have never truly seen DC and am dying to do so.

ReplyDeleteI have stayed at the Briar Rose B & B in Boulder, CO and fell in love with this beautiful, peaceful, place! I was fortunate to have flown in just hours before a big snow storm, and in addition to all their other wonderful services, they served hot chocolate and lit the fireplace in my room. It was heavenly. And... they had the best, most wholesome, breakfast I've ever had in a B & B. I hope I can go back someday!!!
