Blogosphere Bits: French Bread and Family Traditions

On this Saturday morning, I'm heading out the door to go blueberry picking and visit the farmer's market, but I wanted to leave you with a few of the great posts that I read this week:

I absolutely loved the ideas in this post about creating fun family traditions by Kat (guest posting on Steady Mom). In our family, I want to create unique traditions that we can look back on. A pajama run to Sonic? Sounds like a winner to me. I'd love to hear you share fun/quirky family traditions that you have...

French Bread is pretty high on the list of things I like. Homemade French bread? I'm sure it melts in your mouth! How To Make Homemade French Bread by Jen at Balancing Beauty & Bedlam even has a vlog tutorial.

With that, I must be off. Visit Saturday Stumbles at ItsCome2This and My Faves at It's A Blog Party for some good reading. :)

Have a great weekend!

  1. Blueberry Picking & Farmer's Markets - sounds like my kind of morning!! I can't get the "fun traditions" post to open - I'm not sure. But I'll keep trying it, sounds like one not to miss! Have a fun weekend!

  2. Are pancakes on the menu? We just tried the banana buttermilk ones. Definitely good! :) My family requested adding chocolate chips, which of course made them even better.

Hope you enjoy your company -- and the blueberries!

  3. I've tried several French bread recipes without much luck, I'll go read that post!

Sunday evenings here are homemade pizza & movie night...in our PJs. We start making the pizzas (we each have our own) about 4, so at about 3 we straighten up the house and all get into our PJs. The kids love it!

  5. @Audrey: I'm so glad you tried the pancakes. And of course chocolate chips would make them better. :) Yum.

@Tricia: What a fun idea! I think we'll do this when Squishy is old enough to appreciate it. Sounds like a good picture taking opportunity to me!
