Blogosphere Bits: In Which Jill Falls Down and Kristin Makes Me Cry (AGAIN)...

Crazy Thing I Did Yesterday: Dressed up like a cow to get free food. At a friend's suggestion, I seriously thought about asking the Chik-fil-A employee if the fact that I'm lactating means I get free dessert or something (seriously, how far can you take this being like a cow thing?). But I figured I would just get a very blank stare from the teenage boy taking our order, so I decided against it.

Place I Want To Be Right Now: The Savvy Blogging Summit!!!

Oh, er, wait...I'm supposed to be telling you about all the good posts I've read this week...riiiight.

Actually, I've been reading lots of good tweets by following the #sbsummit hashtag on Twitter. And you can guarantee that next week's featured posts will all be recaps of lessons learned at the Summit. Exciting.

Back to our regularly scheduled post...*ahem*...

Post That Made Me Go YES In Agreement:  Expectations by Raising Arrows (a guest post on Amy's Finer Things). Sometimes I think that our American I-can-have-everything-specially-ordered-and-exactly-how-I-like-it mentality has leaked into the delivery room, and we put so much pressure on ourselves as women to have the perfect birth. While I agree that you should be educated about birth and go in with a gameplan, what really matters is the outcome--healthy mom, healthy baby.

Post That Brought Me To Tears: When Jesus Isn't Enough by Kristin at We Are THAT Family. Wow. Made me do some self-evaluation. And can I just say Kristin is getting to be quite consistent at making me cry?

Post That Made Me Want To Fish Out My Passport: Looking Back by Roots of Simplicity. She details memories from her time in China and reminded me of the value of having a simple lifestyle and focusing on relationships.

Post That Had Me Laughing: Making A Complete Fool Out Of Myself For The Family by Jill at The Diaper Diaries. She's so great.

  2. Ahhh, sad story! I dropped my camera a couple of days ago and we haven't found a small screwdriver so we can put it back together! So no pictures.
There is no documentation (besides this post) of our total goofy-ness! :D
