The 30 Day Shred Finale

I did it!

I finished 30 days of sweating it out with Jillian Michaels (well, at least I was sweating...that girl never seems even out of breath!).

The results? I don't have numbers for you (since I don't own a scale or a measuring tape), but here are my before and after pictures (please excuse the quality!).

Before:

Still a baby belly
After:

Much better!
I'm so glad I took before and after pictures (although they are very difficult to take, I think!). I promise I'm not sucking my tummy in in that last photo. And look how fast my hair grows! :D

Doing this workout system for 30 days (6 days a week) was challenging. There were many days I did not want to turn that DVD on. But I'm so glad I stuck with it! I feel better on a daily basis now that I am regularly working out.

I'm ready to pick up running again and maybe tackle a 5k (there's rumor there may be one at Blissdom).

Getting back into a workout routine has made me hugely thankful that God has given me a healthy body. Even though getting in shape (and staying in shape) is just plain hard, it really is a blessing to be able to move and work up a good sweat. Wouldn't you agree?

A big thanks to my workout buddies Jenna and Candi for helping keep me accountable during this process, and to Jen and Crystal, who inspired me to start in the first place!

  3. Hi Alicia. I've enjoyed visiting your blog. Just found you a month or so ago. Good for you tightening up with that 30 day workout!!! I think I HAVE to try that! I have a 2 yr old and a 5 month old, so I definately have a baby belly too! God bless you!

  5. Amazing! The onset of cold weather means I should try to find a workout routine I can do indoors. Anything with the word "shred" in the title is too intimidating. Maybe I'll try kickboxing instead... =)

    Thanks for the inspiration, Alicia!

  6. You look great!!! I am so proud of you!! I need a little more motivation, since I haven't done anything since we got back from our trip and don't feel like doing anything since we are packing/moving. Maybe I need to start this Dec 1??

  7. Way to go girl!!! You look fabulous and I know you feel so good. I'm walking and running in a 5K tomorrow morning. I'm not ready at all, but it will be fun since my hubby and several of our dearest friends are doing it with us. I'll post pictures later on.

  9. Wow!! The difference is amazing and you look wonderful! (not that you didn't before!!!!) I grew a serious baby belly with Susannah... I wonder if mine would go away like that if I did the shred? Hmm... You might have me convinced! Will I die? or feel like I'm gonna die? Do you have any advice or tips?

  10. I found this post from the #30dayshred hashtag on Twitter. I just started level 3 a few days ago, so I'm getting close to the end of my 30 days. I didn't take pictures or measurements, which I sort of regret, but I'm doing this to fit into a dress for my sister's wedding so I'm just using that as my proof of results. But still, pics would be even better. You look great and I would love to have something similar I could point to!
