Little W. and Daddy napping (W. was around 1 month old?)
For 3 1/2 months, I have been waiting for this....
Just
to
sleep
all
night!
And last night was the first night since Little W. was born that I didn't wake up and feed him! As a result, I popped awake at 5 am....ready to wake up! It felt like a miracle. Most mornings by 6 am I feel more tired then when I lay down at 10!
I know we'll probably go back and forth on this for a bit before it is consistent, but it's encouraging to feel like we're making progress towards consistently sleeping through the night. Definitely a finer thing.
In other news this week, as you might have read in my previous posts, I won a set of Cutco knives, a once a month mom apron, and a pair of crocs for my participation in Once a Month Mom's Cookoff--that was awesome! Even better was the fact that my cooking partner, Lindsey, won a prize as well! Next time we cook together we'll have to wear our matching aprons.
Spring days are coming! I can feel the warmth coming back to the air. This means that our little family needs to plan our camping trip sooner rather than later! We always sort of forget how quickly it heats into summer here in Florida, making camping rather sweaty and mosquito-y (yuck).
Happy Friday! Oh, and hello to any Company Girls who are stopping by! :)

Oh! how exciting! Even though it has been 30 years since I had a baby, I so well remember that first night she slept the entire night! It is glorious! And, sounds like you are one lucky girl when it comes to winning. I have a set of Cutco knives (I did not win, had to buy) and I do love them! Have a wonderful week-end!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYeah for Sleeping Babies and Yeah for new knives!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the sleep and other prizes!
ReplyDeleteUr week seems busy with no sleep. It has been 6 yrs for me but I do remember those days like it was yesterday. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! YAY for sleep! Praying for many more full nights of rest for you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - how exciting! But sleep is even better than new knives! I've been a big OAMC person for over 20 years - will have to check out the website you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a week! Bably sleeping through the night AND a really cool prize! congrats!
ReplyDeleteHope it is the first night of many!
Congrats on the night of sleep! May there be plenty more where that came from. :)
ReplyDeleteI always function better on a full night of sleep...it was pretty rough going when my kids were babies. My husband slept right on through most of it, so I don't mind when he has to get up to let the dog out now. Hey, I paid my dues. :)
Enjoy the knives! I think I just need to sharpen mine.
I just about melted into my couch from the cuteness of that picture up top! I hope these restful nights continue for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture! I'm so happy for you! There is much to be said for full night sleep. And in your case several hours of uninterrupted works too! I hope the overnight sleeping continues.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
LydiaCate
3 1/2 months. That's awesome! I won't tell you that my third baby didn't sleep through the night until she was a whole year old!
