Busyness, Breaks, and Visits

It has been a busy week! I was feeling overwhelmed this morning because my house is a disaster and the "to-do" list is starting to be longer than I am (this always tends to happen during my freezer cooking week). So I was talking to God as I got ready this morning, and He just reminded me...what's important? Time with Him, with my husband, with my son, and loving others. The rest will get taken care of. *Relief* I feel so much more at peace. :)

It's hard to believe we're already a week into May. This week we sold a set of couches and our television in preparation for downsizing our living space. What did the world do before Craigslist?

One of Squishy's 3 great grandmother's came to visit yesterday, which was lovely and unexpected. Thus the picture. :)

A highlight from this week was having an afternoon out with another SAHM friend of mine. Our sweet husbands watched both of our baby boys and we went to watch "How to Train Your Dragon" with dinner afterwards. It was such a relaxing break. Probably only the 2nd time since Squishy's birth that I've left him for a trip other than the grocery store or work. You feel so light when you aren't lugging around a carseat with a 17 lb boy in it! :) Even if all 17 lbs are huggy and cuddly.

I hope your week was well-spent and that you have peace in your heart. :) I'm off for now. Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. Isn't it crazy how much you can do when you don't have a little one to put in and take out of the car? =p
