Blogosphere Bits: Mayonaise and African Adventures

Today we are having our second pancake breakfast, complete with Banana Pancakes, Homemade Pancake Syrup, OJ, Coffee, and Earl Grey Tea. Doesn't that sound divine? Come visit me on the 1st Saturday of any month and you can partake. :)

In the meantime, here are a few tidbits from around the blogosphere this week:

Recipe Post That I'd Love To Try: Chicken With Olives by The Pioneer Woman. This comes with Mama The Reader's recommendation, which is how I found the link. :D

Vlog: Aimee over at Simple Bites did her first vlog! She shows you how to make homemade mayonaise.

Adventurous Blog That You Should Read: Mrs. Sojourner's Monologues. Reading about families who have uprooted their lives and live in a foreign culture is challenging to me! One day our family hopes to do the same. :D

I'm linked up to Mandi's Saturday Stumbles and Share Your Faves (at It's a Blog Party).

One other note: Monday is a holiday {therefore my hubby does not have class} and I will be taking the day off from blogging. So you can expect me back with a bang on Tuesday. :) Happy Labor Day, dear readers!

  2. I just discovered Mrs. Sojourner's blog on Thursday when she linked up here. What an inspiration! Also, did you know I know Katie (mama the reader). I lived with her family for a while before I moved to Dallas. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I just enjoy knowing about all the little connections in the blogosphere.

  4. We just got back from 2 years in Jordan - I so encourage you to go ANYWHERE if you get the chance. But in the meantime, its fun to be an armchair traveler, isn't it?

  6. Hey Alicia!

I happened to make some mayo this week. It was kinda weird. I ran out and needed some in a pinch. It worked, but I was weirded out by the raw egg.

Just thought I'd share that with you!
