Papa Toot

Papa Toot, sitting in "his chair."
August 15, 1931 - January 29, 2011

My grandfather's character truly stood out in his last days of life, as he so sweetly never complained. He quietly passed away on Saturday after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was ready to go home.
I am in Virginia with my family for the next few days, so this week will be quiet on the blog-front. :)

P.S. Try New Adventures Thursday will be hosted by Sarah at Loved Like The Church this coming Thursday!

  2. Sorry to hear that. I'm sure he will be missed, but I also know how relieving it can be to know that he is no longer hurting. I lost 2 grandparents to cancer too. Prayers for comfort for your family.

  4. So sorry to hear this. Draw comfort from Psalm 34:18. One of my favorite scriptures when I'm feeling sad about my granny.

  5. I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa, and I know you are going to miss him and be glad that he is finally Home at the same time. May God give you extra peace at this time.

(Would it be terribly rude to say YOU'RE IN VIRGINIA?!?!?! *squeeee!!!* - I'm terribly sorry for the reason you're here, though.)
