31 Cent Scoops {Try New Adventures Thursday!}
Have you ever been to 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins? Last night we took advantage of the chance to have a super frugal family outing and tried it out for the 1st time. 31 cent scoops of ice cream? You can't have much to lose. Not to mention it is full on flip-flop, swimming, and ice cream weather here in Florida.
Our ice cream (a total of 6 scoops for $1.98). Our local Baskin Robbins did not limit the number of scoops you could get--one guy got 12!!!
This was Squishy's 1st official ice cream outing. He used a sample spoon and was intent on serving himself.
It took a lot of concentration.
I got Jamoca and Gold Medal Ribbon (my old favorite).
The evening was topped off by a touch of face paint and a ballon. You'll notice that Squishy did not let go of the ice cream spoon.
What adventures have you had this week? Link up your blog post, link back to Alicia's Homemaking, and visit the other participants! Our hashtag on twitter is #TryNewAdventures (P.S. If you are on twitter, please let me know so I can follow you!!).
I have a really big adventure to share with you next week...if I can stand to wait that long!

What fun! I saw that they were doing the 31 cent scoops yesterday, but we didn't make it over there. Hopefully next time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe went! :-) We've gone the past four years and it's something we look forward too. Our boys had so much fun! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I havent ever heard of this event but know they used to do a free scoop day, did .31 scoops replace that?
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of Squishy with the spoon! Mmmm Jamoca is one of my favs too!
Fun times! I'll have to look into it!
ReplyDeleteWe have ice cream for late night snack (shhh, don't tell anyone) but it is still too cold to actually go out for ice cream. I think the warmest it got today was 52*F. I thought spring was finally coming, but I guess not. Love Squishy holding onto that spoon!! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteAh man I am jealous, I don't know if we even have Baskin Robbins out here in Phoenix Az. anymore, the only one I know of closed a while back and Florida is an awefully long trip for a scoop of icecream.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a blast enjoy your weather we are.

I've always loved those little pink spoons too! Sometimes I ask for taste just so I can eat my whole serving with that spoon... =)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this because I didn't know Baskin Robbins had this going on! Looks like you all had a great time!!
