A Menu Plan? Finally!

I made a menu plan for this week, ya'll (for the 1st time in over a month!). I think it's a true sign that I'm starting to turn a corner in this pregnancy. Not out of the woods yet--but getting closer! I'm still tired and a bit nauseated, but starting last Monday I started seeing vast improvement. I actually made 1-2 home-cooked meals last week!

The weekend before I sent Andrew to the store with these requests: sushi, sour patch kids, and ginger ale. Oh, and lots of frozen meals!! Our menu has been a far cry from normal lately, to say the least.

This week the goal is simple. Our meals are listed below. If at any point I'm too sick to cook, we'll revert to a store-bought freezer meal. And we'll keep on keepin' on.

Breakfasts: Yogurt, Blueberry Zucchini Bread, cold cereal
Lunches: Leftovers, sandwiches, smoothies

Dinners:
Monday--Parmesan Tilapia with rice and broccoli (sounds fancy maybe, but the fish is super easy--cooked in the crockpot!)
Tuesday--Taco Salad
Wednesday--Cheddar Cheese Soup with Veggies and biscuits (which are already in the freezer)
Thursday--Dinner at home group--I'm bringing Spinach Souffle
Friday--Out of town
Saturday--Out of town
Sunday--Coming home, probably dinner out.

I made a menu plan! Aren't you proud of me? My husband is, anyway...sweet man!

P.S. The winner of the Life & Oh-La-Dee-Dah giveaway was comment #5--Sarah from Loved Like The Church! Whoo-hooo! Sarah, Jodi will be getting in touch with you. :)

  4. Glad your feeling better! Praying it continues in the right direction. I remember when I was pregnant with Julia, I'd wake up {sick} go to work {sick}, come home and lay on the couch all night {sick} and Jon would do all the cooking/cleaning/everything. One day, the poor guy said "When will my wife come back?" Thankfully it's not a stage that last much past 12/14 weeks for me.

Ohh!! So excited about winning the giveaway! :) :) Jodi sent me an email, so I'll start shopping this afternoon! Yay!
