Life After PA School {Try New Adventures Thursday!}

Our 2 year grad school journey is almost over. 2 1/2 more months until graduation!

A large piece of the life-after-school puzzle fell into place just this week. Andrew accepted a job offer! A job in the same town as the school he is currently attending--something that was not in our original "plans" (sometimes I think God must find all our plan-making quite comical). After thought and prayer, we feel like we are supposed to stay in the town we transplanted to in 2010.

Which means that at the end of this month, we'll have a week to find a new place to live and move (our current lease will end). Adventures, adventures.

Our kitchen
My tiny kitchen, which has served us so well! Waving goodbye soon...

Have I mentioned how excited I am about moving? I am thrilled at the prospect of:

-a dishwasher
-an in-house washer and dryer (good-bye laundry mat!)
-planting a garden
-a little more room
-a fenced-in back yard?
-room for friends and family to park, without having to deal with parking passes, etc. (living on campus makes parking a hassle!)

In turn, I will dearly miss the sweet community we have found while living in student housing. Neighbors from countries all over the world who will freely drop by and share a cup of coffee. The huge playground literally in our backyard. The fun and silly village events (ice cream socials, community holiday celebrations, etc.). The whiffs of Chinese, Thai, Indian, or Mexican food in the breezeways. And oh yes...the short walking distance to Starbucks and Chick-fil-A!

Andrew will be working in a large cardiac intensive care unit...have I mentioned how proud I am of him?

Here's to the next adventure!
