January Via Instagram

Remember how I attempted to do a 365 project last year?

Well, it royally flopped. I got so behind on picture editing last year (especially after I started shooting in RAW format), and I eventually gave up.

This year I'm trying a simpler route by doing the #photoaday challenge on Instagram. Fat Mum Slim has been creating a photo challenge each month with daily prompts, and I decided to get in on the fun.

The challenge is perfect for me because: 1) I don't have to spend a lot of time editing, 2) I can automatically send my pictures to Flickr via Instagram, and 3) there are others doing it along with me!

I did miss some days in January, primarily because my husband takes his iTouch to work and then I'm Instagram-less (tragic, I know). But here are some of the snippets of life I captured last month:

  1. I love this!! I am very tempted to at least do it even though I don't have/do instagram. I already have an idea for today's prompt!!

    1. Yeah, you could totally do it without instagram, Miriam! Go for it!

  2. This is a great idea, I just started with the February challenge. Does Flicker put the photos into collage format?

    1. No, Flickr just makes it easy for me to download the photos onto my computer.
I used Picasa to make the collages!

  3. Oh! I want to do this! :) It sounds like so much fun! :)

  4. That close up shot is so precious!!! I love all of your photos :)
Thank you so much for linking up to our party and sharing your January with us! Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Fun photos! So glad to have found your blog via The House of Smiths.

  6. Amazing pics! I love the simplicity of them. I'm so glad I found your blog (I found it while searching for a crock pot yogurt recipe).

  7. How fun! I'm totally addicted to my instagram!!!

  8. Great idea! I love the idea of prompts for pictures because I often can't think of anything to take a picture of, especially because I don't have kids, and each workday is pretty much the same routine.

  9. I love that teapot! So pretty! :)

  10. oh wow! were you trying to do 365 with raw photos? i would be totally behind as well. i am so not cut out for all that editing. LOL.

that's why i love IG so much! it's so cool & so user friendly. all your photos are so fun to look through.

    thanks for linking up!

    have a super weekend.
