A Little Foot-weary, BUT...

There are 22 meals in the freezer!! Minus some eaten stew and chocolate chip cream cheese coffee cake. Which, can I just tell you, is uh-MAZE-ing!!!

We started sometime after 8 am and finished around...5:30 ish? The kitchen is still dirty, but that's ok....my darling husband is in there now helping clean up (he's wonderful).

The recipes we made really seemed like winners (we taste-tested along the way) and I'm excited to try them all. Eventually I'll have my own tried-and-true stash of recipes that are wonderful frozen.

I wish I could post pictures for you, but we are at a loss as to how to post the pictures from my phone.

By the way, I tried out my homemade taco seasoning that I made earlier this month in the Burritos, and it tasted great. :)

I'm going to soak in a hot bath tub. I'm worn out, but it was worth it. :)

Love, Alicia

  1. I can't believe there aren't pictures (kidding)! I checked your blog last month so I was excited to see pictures of the mess and the results. I think that is a bit strange on my part, don't you?

Great job. I can't imagine how you do this with a little one around (I think I read that anyway). I love OAMC. I should have done it when my kids were little! It's still helpful when I am picking them up from after school activities.

  2. Have you frozen the coffee cake before? How does it turn out? I am wanting to try that this weekend and figure if I am going to make one loaf, might as well double or triple it if it freezes well.

  4. Great job on your cooking! My mom and I just finished our day of freezer cooking and I can understand the title of your post...I'm a little foot-weary too!

  5. Amanda...we ate one of the loaves right away and froze the other. I actually pulled it out of the freezer today, so I can let you know tomorrow how well it freezes!

  6. Amanda, the bread does freeze VERY well. It's very moist, so I expected that!
This "coffee cake" is so decadent that I'm thinking it's going to make some good Christmas gifts...:)
